TERAN
Teran, a native Slovenian wine with recognised traditional denomination (PTP), is made from the Refosco grape variety. It is produced in the Karst wine-growing region. Teran is known for its high contents of minerals, particularly iron, which come from the Karst soil. Its distinctive trait is the intense ruby red colour. Because of this colour, Teran contains a large amount of anthocyanin, a pigment that functions as an antioxidant. Hence, Teran is considered to be one of the most health-promoting wines.
Grape harvest: Exclusively hand-picked grapes of the highest quality
Variety: 100 % Refosco
Winemaking: Perfectly ripe grapes are destemmed and macerated until the end of fermentation for up to 10 days. We then press the wine. This is followed by malolactic fermentation during which the malic acid in the wine transforms into lactic acid. The wine is then left to mature on lees in stainless steel vats.
Colour: Deep red colour with a violet hue
Aroma: Intense, fruity, with hints of blueberry, sour cherry, prune, blackberry and white pepper
Taste: Structured, fine tannins, herbal spiciness – the wine is full-bodied, fresh and pleasant. High dry matter content and resolved tannins are what distinguish Teran. It has a smooth aftertaste of ripe fruits.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.
Awards: Selected Teran 2018 and Selected Teran 2020 were awarded gold medals at Vino Slovenija 2021.

MALVASIA
Malvasia, a Mediterranean grape variety, has been growing in the Karst for centuries. It is picked only in the best locations when the grapes turn golden yellow. We produce it in the traditional way.
Grape harvest: Exclusively hand-picked grapes of the highest quality
Variety: 100 % Malvasia
Location: Triglavka, Stršnice, Hribi

After alcoholic fermentation, the young wine is kept in stainless steel vats for another three months. As a result, the wine keeps its fruity and fresh character and at the same time develops a full body.
Colour: Pale gold yellow colour
Aroma: Variety-typical fresh bouquet reminiscent of stone fruit, acacia flower and fresh hay intertwines with the aromas of apricot, peach, tropical fruits and almonds.
Taste: Lively, medium-bodied, with pleasant fruitiness and minerality. It boasts a harmonious balance between freshness and richness. The finish delivers creamy notes of vanilla and bitter almond.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
Awards: Malvasia 2019 and Malvasia 2020 were awarded silver medals at Vino Slovenija.

TERAN LIQUEUR
Teran liqueur is a traditional drink in the Karst. For its production, we use a traditional recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation. Teran liqueur PTP (recognised traditional denomination) is an aromatised dessert wine. The basis for it is our Teran to which we add citrus fruits and spices.
Teran liqueur is an ideal aperitif but it goes equally well with strudel, blueberry pie, strawberry cake and other desserts with forest fruits, strawberries and plums, and any dessert made with dark chocolate.
